General Summary:
The Business Manager represents a strategic leadership role, responsible for driving growth across a defined business unit in a geographical area.
The incumbent serves as a thought leader who performs independently and has demonstrated the ability to effectively interact with and influence all levels of the organizations (our company and Customer) including the SVP/GM Level.
The position is responsible for P&L management of a defined geographic area within an our company business unit.
The incumbent develops and implements global and regional strategic plans to ensure that strategic and financial goals are met.
This position is responsible for the direction of customer-facing activities to align business strategy with market trends in value-differentiated regions.
The Business Manager is expected to deliver results by collaborating extensively throughout our organization (our company and Business Unit) with all functions to drive decision-making and
resource allocation.
The position holder may manage a local team of direct reports including administrative, sales, manufacturing and customer relations professionals and reports to a business General Manager. Up to 75% travel may be required.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
Safety
? Ensure that all safe working procedures are observed and followed.
? Check for unsafe conditions and correct, or report these items when necessary.
? See that all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and that first aid is provided in case of injury.

Business
? Refine the regional business strategy and direct product management, business development and operational teams to align with the global business strategy.
? Full P&L oversight to manage working capital, profitability, assuming full responsibility for the regional business:
? Develop a budget, operating plan and goals for sellers that align & ensure delivery of the annual operating plan commitments.
Deliver year-over-year growth in revenue and profit for the region.
? Deliver short and long-term forecasts for sales, working capital, including expected market fluctuations.
? Lead cross-functional teams toward achievement of financial and strategic business goals and
objectives.
? Plan and develop business processes to improve the operating efficiency of the regional business.
? Conducts executive marketing / sales calls to maintain customer contact, promotes sales efforts, evaluates market trends and develops business at target accounts.
? Creates value proposition for the industry, focusing on the customer, ensuring product quality and consistency.
? Coach, mentor and implementing career development plans for direct reports is a key aspect of this position.
? Maintaining first-hand knowledge of technology changes, material development and market place conditions; makes presentations at sales and leadership meetings.
Other
? Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
? Provide support to other departmental activities to the extent it does not interfere with the essential duties of the Business Manager.
? Participate in opportunities for personal and professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree is required
Must have 5-7 years prior successful, relevant Commercial P&L experience.
Must have 5-7 years of demonstrated track record of leading a successful sales team in growing a territory with high levels of engagement and motivation in a value-selling environment.
Must have a strong background with OEMs and Key Accounts with the ability to build strategies around them Inks background and experience preferred

Ability to mobilize internally and externally to set and achieve business goals; able to articulate and drive required change and translate into actionable objectives for the extended marketing network.
Marketing excellence: demonstrated depth and breadth across the entire marketing discipline; able to develop broad strategies and drive operational details.
Able to effectively coach and direct employees
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
Good oral and written communication skills and excellent presentation, research and project coordination skills
Ability to apply complex analytical and critical thinking skills
Self motivated with the ability to multi-task
